Thank you, everyone who responded to my post about Comic-Con. Just so no one's alarmed or concerned: We are not thinking about not going to Comic-Con. Ugh, that double negative was confusing. Let me try again: We are definitely still attending Comic-Con. I just was curious if Tom Spurgeon was right and it doesn't really matter to readers so much if publishers attend or not.

I think we've got some anecdotal evidence to say he is wrong!

And I wanted to add, I think it is also important for publishers to be able to interact with their readers, and since Comic-Con is still the comic convention, it's the perfect venue for that. Being able to see and meet people who read our comics reminds us, and our artists, of one of the reasons why we do it all.
