Hi, folks! I've been getting a lot of questions lately about the release of Gargoyles Volume 2 and the collection of Bad Guys -- understandably so, since you've all been left hanging! What I can tell you now is that work continues on the remainder of both stories, and we still plan to release both collections. However, we are still working out the licensing with Disney, so unfortunately the former release dates of May and June are probably not going to hold. I'll let you know as soon as we can be sure of a firm date. Sorry for the wait, and thanks for your patience!
I've gotten behind in announcing the new books we have in stores, so here's an update.
In stores on August 13:

Nightmares and Fairy Tales Volume Four: Dancing with the Ghosts of Whales by Serena Valentino and Camilla d'Errico
Two young women are ensnared by enchantment and villainy, but the sea calls out to them, urging them to free themselves and reclaim their happiness. "Harmony" tells the story of an ethereal beauty who wanders the Sutro Bath ruins on San Francisco's rocky coastline, singing songs from a life she doesn't know she has left behind. In "Song of the Siren", a lovely mermaid is held captive by a sideshow charlatan and put on display in his carnival. Desperate for her home in the sea, the mermaid plots her escape- and revenge. Nightmares and Fairy Tales Volume Four: Dancing with the Ghosts of Whales brings you two exquisite tales by Serena Valentino, beautifully illustrated by Camilla d'Errico.
In stores on August 20:

Gargoyles: Bad Guys #4 by Greg Weisman and Karine Charlebois
How many mutants does it take to screw in a light bulb? Well, if you're Dr. Sevarius and Fang, the answer is: "Never enough!" Can Hunter, Yama, Dingo and Matrix stop our mad scientist's nefarious plan for the city of Manhattan? Find out in Gargoyles: Bad Guys, "Redemption: Chapter IV: Louse".

Rex Libirs #12 by James Turner
A Memetic manifestation of the evil God Cthulhu, Cthulhu two, has sprung into reality for reasons that rex would rather not be mentioned, and is now awakening from his deep slumber beneath the island of R'lyeh II. Rex and a crack team of librarians have joined forces with the US Navy to try and reach 'The Ear of Cthulhu' on the island. When they speak into it the dread pamphlet of litterable evil, they will seize control of Cthulhu two's brain. But other menacing forces have obtained the pamphlet from the Middleton Library's Front desk, and they also are converging on the island of R'lyeh, intent on turning Cthulhu two into a mindless slave of unimaginable power. This convergence leads to... AN EXCESS OF EVIL!

Series writer and Gargoyles creator Greg Weisman explained the history of Bad Guys: "Bad Guys was originally developed as a television series for Disney in 1996 by myself and the late Gary Sperling (a story editor on Gargoyles)," he said. "We made an animatic reel to help sell the series to Disney, but they passed. We’ve shown the reel every year at the annual Gathering of the Gargoyles convention, and it’s always been a big fan favorite. Now, finally, the Bad Guys’ story can be told."
The 24-page, black and white premiere issue of Bad Guys by Greg Weisman and Karine Charlebois is in stores now, and will soon available at SLG Publishing's website, www.slgcomic.com.
